    Hello Antony,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

You only need the # in the Open By Click field. In the Link & Attributes tab you only enter the text itself.

i have tried that. it does not work.

Then you're most likely still missing something with the setup. Please verify these fields again to see if you entered the proper values (with and without hashtags). Please also make sure that you inserted both sliders to the same page (not just the normal slider), and that the popup launch options are correct. And finally, make sure that you have the latest version of the plugin installed, it's 6.9.2.

hi. made some progress. So ive added the pop up layerslider to the page, it is now working. however, the layerslider is taking up a section on the page, ie. is not invisable, hidden. hope that makes sense

This seems to work, but is it correct?

Please do not use your theme builder to insert popup sliders. Themes are usually not inserting popup sliders correctly. They cannot make a difference from a normal slider, so they insert it as one and leave an empty space for it. Instead, use the LayerSlider's Target Pages section to insert the popup: https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#publishing-popups That way, there won't be an empty gap for it.

please can you explain to me (child proof) exactly where i should insert the pop up slider with in the Avia layout builder. The link you below does not explain.

    thanks in advance

Hi, I have created a pop up slider using #example open by click. I want te pop up slider to appear on the main slider when a button is clicked, I have created a button and am using ID example.
I have set the pop up Target Pages to All Pages.
When I click the button my pop up does not work. The only way I can make it work is to put the pop up slider into the theme builder on the same page as main slider, however this causes the theme builder to leave a space where it believes the pop up should be. Can you assist? happy to provide log in to site.

As mentioned, most theme builders (such as Avia) do not handle popup sliders well. They try to insert them as normal sliders, thus leaving an empty space for them, when they shouldn't. I'd recommend contacting the theme author and ask if they have a proper solution for popup slider implementation, that does not leave an empty space.

As for the Target Pages implementation, please show us your site or a test page where we can check on that setup.

Thank you. As I can see, the popup trigger has been set up correctly. Both the ID and selector are correct, and both sliders are loaded to the page. The blue button starts the popup slider. So there is no problem with that.

And the empty space. As I've already mentioned multiple times now, it's caused by Avia. The Avia Layout Builder that you are using to build your site, does not seem to support popup sliders. It creates an element for the popup slider on the page, like it would do with a normal slider. As a result, it leaves an empty space. It does not distinguish normal sliders from popup sliders, thus the problem. We cannot do anything about this. This is not the popup's fault. This is an issue in Avia. You will need to contact them about their product. Or alternatively, use another method to insert the popup (linked before).
