under gtmetrix.com the skin.css files are shwon as not optimized.
Can you fix the problems and deliver in further updates optimized (minfied) plugin version(s) (also with alt-texts for all used pictures)?
It also would be nice whenn it would be possible to add for every picture an image class (for example not possible for slide background at the moment - this can cause problems with lazyload plugins / caching programs like wprocket, etc.).
Also it would be nice to have a feature to load not directly shown popup slider content "lazy" (so that google pagespeed / lighthouse values are not dropping down because the pictures are loaded immediately but they are maybe never shown because the visitor don't opens any popup; when there would be a switch to select if the popup slider pictures could be loaded "later" (1 second after everything else is done), that it would maybe help to get better speed values and therefor better ranking positions.
(I take out 7 popup sliders from the homepages of some website to enhance the pagespeed values more than 30 points and some days later all these websites,moved up with their rankings by around one to two pages; so this is a very big problem, because the popup sliders are very nice - also for the visitors but as the work now - not for google pagespeed / rankings. I hope you will optimize this problem nearby.
Also I am still waiting (since more than one year already) that on export of sliders the alt and title texts from the pictures are also included inside the export file(s) and get importet at import on another website (I use some popup sliders on several pages); also it would be much better, when on import there would be a selection if all layerslider pictures could be put to only one layerslider subdirectory, not one per slider. In the actual way it happens that many pictures are laying several times in several folders and when you check in gtmetrix or lightspeed/lighthouse you get bad results because one picture is used from different locations instead from only one and it's not easy to change all paths/titles/alt texts for each imported slider by hand /(also normal and popupsliders that use the same content are not stored in one folder)
I hope you can fix all open points/problems inside the next layer slider version(s).
Thank you for your thoughts and feedback. We are constantly improving LayerSlider and have plans to further fine tune it in the future. I will forward your ideas to the dev team.
as mentioned already it's necessary to put additional classes to the lider background (of each slide), for example an "aria-label" to fulfill google lightspeed tests with 100% - at the moment using layerslider can break easy the ranking positions because it's not possible to fulfill all ligthspeed parameters. Hope you add the missing possibilities soon to take care your customers ranking health.
Hi, in the google lighthouse test (inside Chrome CRTL+Shift+I) the following problems are shown:
Image elements do not have [alt] attributes
