Based on the error messages it seems like you're using an older version of LayerSlider. Please download the most recent release from CodeCanyon and try to install that version.
These are just debug messages, you can also hide them by disabling the WP Debug Mode.
Your sliders and settings are stored in the database, removing the plugin files won't touch them. You should replace the entire /wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider folder. You can also remove the plugin from your WP admin area under the Plugins screen. After re-installing the plugin, all your content will be there untouched.
I currently have disabled layer slider as it crashed my site. I bought the new version and I'm not sure how to install it without crashing the site.
Are there directions as to how to do this?

What files do I replace the old version with via sftp without losing my sliders?
