The issue is caused by the following custom code in your style-css:
.sc-slideshow > * {
min-height: 400px;
}
This code prevents one of the slider's wrapper element from going under 400px height. But the slider itself is still getting resized, thus the issue.
If you remove this code, the problem should be fixed.
