I can create a new slider/project from scratch and it will save. If I try to import from your store and save I get the following error (attached). I checked the system status and everything looks good. Any advice?
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
Errors like this are usually web server configuration issues. In your case it could be a memory limitation problem or execution time limit, because you are trying to utilize more content than your server can handle in the given amount of time and throws this error. But it might be generated by a server permission problem too that restricts the slider.
If you're not familiar with it, we can also look into it after you enabled the WP debug mode. We will need a WP login in this case.
In the meantime please also try to look for any incompatibility problems by temporary disabling other plugins and switching to a default theme. Just to make sure that it's not caused by a 3rd party item.
Thank you for your patience. We've checked on it further and it's a web server issue.
Unfortunately we do not have the necessary tools or permissions to investigate this further. So we'd recommend to contact your host with this case. They can check on the configurations and look around in the logs to find the exact issue.
We'd recommend to start with the webserver's mod security module, its configuration, and content filters.
How can it be a server hosting issue? It will save new projects but it won't from your existing store projects. I also saw another post with the same exact issue. If you are saying it's a 'hosting' issue then what part of it is causing it? I have another sub-domain using this host with a different slider without any issues.
As we've mentioned, we do not have the neccessary tools or permission to investigate this in depth. Only your host can do that. Please contact them, so they can look into this issue and correct what's needed.
And ask them what? I am sure they are going to say it's the plugin that's causing the issue. It's not a permissions issue, I checked the folders. I have the php file set correctly. Is there an email address for you so that they can correspond with you about this? Would be much easier than me being the middle man.
I found the solution and hope that you can at least compensate me something at least, since this has been an issue for multiple people on here.
Once you import a project or get one from your store it will only save when you delete the 'Slide Thumbnail'. You can then insert another image for the thumbnail. When inserting a new image for the slide thumbnail you will notice that the original thumbnail is not there. So for some reason it can't save the slide thumbnail after you import.

This kind of error is almost always a PHP error related problem, but currenty the exact error message is not visible as the WP debug mode is not enabled. Please try to enable it and look for any PHP errors in the logs that could provide more information.

New sliders might still save because they have way less content than the imported premade sliders, so your server can still handle them.
But we'll check on it with the login further and get back to you.
Thanks for checking. I disabled all the plugins and have the php.ini file as:
upload_max_filesize = 512M
post_max_size = 64M
memory_limit = 400M
file_uploads = On
max_execution_time = 180
I also tried different imported sliders but all give me the same error while saving.

By permission, I meant that we do not have the neccessary permission to access your server settings to look into it further, not the plugin.
As mentioned before, they can take a look at the error logs to find the issue, as well as verify the server configurations.

Verify it for me and let me know your thoughts..
There is no such issue in the plugin. Slide thumbnail images have nothing to do with saving sliders.
Also, imported demo sliders are no different from the ones you make. They are just simple sliders too, only with more (pre-added) content.
I have tested it multiple times. There is an issue in regards to this. I don't know why you won't believe me..
