    Hello StLukeUMC,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

There is no such error message generated by LayerSlider, so it was most likely put there by something else. Also, as I can see there is no slider added to that page currently.

In any case, I'd recommend to manually update the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider. You will need to completely remove the bundled version first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation. Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process. You can find detaled installation instructions in the documentation, please refer to the following URL: https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#installation After this, there should be no more problem with activation or updates.

I'm getting the same error, and my hosting site sent me an email saying that your plugin is at fault. I've taken out my URL and replaced it with "[mysite]", but here's the error message I'm getting:

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, LayerSlider WP.

An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 82 of the file /home/wp_k26r5r/[mysite]/wp-content/plugins/LayerSlider/includes/slider_markup_init.php. I've tried updating the theme that came with your plugin, but I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to buy your plugin on its own. I'm currently using Version 5.3.2 of Layerslider WP, WordPress 5.2.2 and the theme I have installed is Stockholm 1.7.1.

I've replaced the main page of my site (which was blank without the slider) to be a different internal page. I really want my slider gallery back.

    Dear Maryhawkins,

Version 5.3.2 of LayerSlider is 5 years old now. It is very old and outdated. You will need to update it.

If you need assistance with the plugin, please open a new ticket for your case. Thank you.
