I went to update Layerslider for Wordpress and it said I need to purchase a license. I purchased the license and tried to update again but I am still getting a message that says I need to purchase a license. Where do I enter my license code?

You will need to enter your license to the product activation box of the plugin. It is located on the main page of LayerSlider's admin area, under the sliders list: https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#activation-howto

Yes, that is the license you need to use. Did you manage to find the product activation box inside LayerSlider ?
No. I have WordPress open to the plug-ins page. Nowhere in LayerSlider have I been able to find a place to enter the purchase code. Attached is a screen shot of what I am seeing in case that helps.
Not the WP Plugins menu. You will need to open LayerSlider itself. The product activation box is inside the LayerSlider plugin.
Sorry, my web guy quit last week and I am trying to navigate this on my own with only basic knowledge. Do I open LayerSlider from the WP console or somewhere else?
It should be on the WP sidebar. You can open it from there.
