    Hi,

    I have just taken over managing my wife's business website: bridgetscakes.co.uk I am new to this so please be gentle with me. Layerslider needs updating so I have purchased the latest version together with a product key as this product was bundled with the Avada theme by the website developer. I have attempted to upload the zip file but am getting the "destination folder already exists -- plug in installation has failed" Please can you advise?

    Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

    You will need to completely remove the theme bundled version first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation at the same time.

    After you removed the bundled version, you can manually update the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider.

    Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process. But you can always export them first, to be extra careful.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your prompt response. Updated version has now been installed but I cannot find where I am to copy the activation key too. The instruction show a screenshot but not where you can find activation page.

    OK, just found it  near the bottom of the LayerSlider WP page. I have noticed others have asked the same question so it might be a good idea to expand on the advice given to point users to the correct area.
