We are Etelec Italia S.p.A. and we have a bug whit the layer on our website: etelec.com/it.

We buy a licence for this layer but we have a problem whit previus free version.
Now if i upload a new version in the ftp, will we lose all previus slides created ?

The bug is that the icon of button are displayed only at second view of the same slide or if i zoom on the screen. This bug there is both on the web and phone too.
We tried different ways and read documentation of this layer but don't see better results.

    Hope that receive your help.

    Best regards.

    Hello Livio,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

As I can see you are using a very old and outdated version of the plugin. I'd recommend to start with updating it to the latest release.

You can manually update the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider.

You will need to completely remove the bundled version first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation.

Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process. But you can always export the sliders first, just to be extra careful.

You can find detailed installation instructions in the documentation that will guide you through the process, please refer to the following URL: https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#plugin-setup

Please let us know if this solved the problem

    Hi Attila,

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I follow it and update with a new version but the problem is already the same.

    Nothing is changed.

    Regards.

As I can see you are still not using the latest release. You have v6.0.5 installed on your site currently, which is more than 2 years old. The newest version is 6.8.3. Please update it.

Also, there are several js errors on your site, you can see them in the browser console. They seem to be affecting the jQuery and Greensock too. Please try to use the LayerSlider WP -> Options -> Advanced -> Include scripts in the footer option to see if that helps.

Thank you, but unfortunately this user does not have any permissions. All we see is a blank page when logged in, without being able to access any WP menu or plugin.

Thank you. My colleagues and I will look into this to see what we can find, and get back to you.

Thank you for your patience. We've looked into this and the problem is that, something (a plugin or theme) is placing a span element next to the image layers with classes such as image-overlay overlay-type-extern. The positioning seems to be off because of this.

We are not sure what exactly is applying this extra span element, but it's not coming from LayerSider. It's not in the source code originally either, so a script must be generating it on the go.

If you are not sure what might be generating this and affecting the slider this way, we'd recommend to temporary disable other plugins and switch to a default WP theme. After that you can enable them back one-by-one to see who is the culprit.

    Hi Attila,

Today i tried to temporarily disable all plugin and templates that i have on my sites.

I think that the problem was caused by enfold,
because when i have disabled it the layer do not have that problem.

But my sites are structured on enfold so i can't change my template, so i deleted the img and create the same button and now i havent that problem.

Thank you for all your help.

    Regards.

Thank you for the feedback, glad you could solve the problem. If it causes further problems, you could contact with Enfold with this case. They might know what setting to change to adjust it in their theme.
