You will need to completely remove the current version of LayerSlider first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation at the same time. After that, you can install the newest release, that you can download from CodeCanyon.
Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process. You can also export sliders beforehand if you would like to.
found it was still at v 5.6 and had failed.
