I have a background image and an image layer. The background image renders fine but the image layer never shows. Any ideas?

    Hello Mark,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

There seems to be a problem with image's source/path. The source of that image is not valid, so the slider cannot display it. Please check on the image source to see if it is still available. You could also try to re-add it to the slider.

Another possibility is that an image preloader/image caching plugin or method is interfering with the images, so the slider cannot load them. Do you use this kind of solution on your installation ? If you are using Jetpack, I'd recommend to take a look at that first. We had several issues with it in the past, as it interferes with the slider's content.

    Hi Atilla,

you hit the nail 100% on the head. I disabled Jetpak and the slider worked fine. So I reenabled it and disabled the "Enable Lazy Loading for images" option which I totally forgot was enabled and boom. It worked.

    Thanks for your help.

Last question that always puzzled me- I am using an adobe typekit font which is called through CSS. It renders perfect in the browser but the slide editor displays wrong which makes it hard to get positioning and size correct while designing. I have to do a constant refresh in the browser front-end while styling text layers. Any suggestion there (please see attached screenshot)?

You can load fonts to the back-end of the plugin in the Options -> Google Fonts tab, so you can work in the editor with the same font.

It's an adobe typkit font, not google. :-(

Unfortunately you cannot load that to LayerSlider directly. But if you load this font to your back-end, making it available to use, the plugin editor can still pick it up. You just need to enter its name to the Font Family field of the text layer.

I'm new to sliders, so this question might be a basic one. I've created a couple of sliders that work fine within the slider page and I've put the short code on my WP page. Then when I 'preview' the page I see only the background image. The next images don't progress.

I also loaded one of the templates and when I put it into my WP page the same thing happens. There must be something about the set up of the WP page that is preventing the slider from progressing.
