Hi, I'm a fan of this plugin, in the past when adding layers we had the option for adding shape layers, where is this feature gone? please any help would be great

If by 'shape' you mean the layer type (image,text,button,icon,etc), then it remained the same. When you create a new layer you get the option to choose one. You can also change already existing layer types to another ones.
