I’ve been using layer slider for over 2 years with no problem, now when I try to change a slider and SAVE, it doesn't save and I get an error message
"It seems there is a server issue that prevented layerslider from saving your work. Please try to temporarily diable theme and plugins or contact your hosting providor. Your HTTP server thrown the following error: "
There is no further text, no error shown.
I have disabled all plugins except layer slider, changed to 2019 WP theme, refreshed pages, updated Wordpress and all plugins, also disabled .htaccess file in case something in there was messing up.
The website is https.
Under System Status everything is good except that it shows an orange ! for
Suhosin:Active
I've spent several hours on this, hope it's something simple and you can help me get this fixed,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
Errors during saving such as this, are usually web server configuration issues. In your case it could be a memory limitation problem or execution time limit, because you are trying to utilize more content than your server can handle in the given amount of time. But it might be generated by something else as well.
Thank you. My colleagues and I will look into this to see what we can find, and get back to you shortly.
Please note that your previous message was set to private, so only you and admins can see it. Regardless, we will delete it later if you would like to.
Hi Attila, please delete the login details in my post, or change the password on site
I managed to change the words on some of the slides via the database and, as I couldn't delete a couple of slides, I left them blank, via the database
This website is very small, if there's problems with PHP memory and Layer slider on this site then most of my other sites would be unable to use layer slider.
We've investigated this and it is indeed a server configuration issue. Most likely it's Apache's ModSecurity module that is causing the problem. Unfortunately we can't be sure as we cannot access your web server logs and do not possess the necessary server tools either. But we see that during saving there is a HTTP 403 "Fordibben. Access to this resource on the server is denied!" error message.
Your host will need to take over from here. We cannot really do more from our end. Only your host can adjust this server issue.

It is almost always a PHP error related problem, but currently the exact error message is not visible as the WP debug mode is not enabled. Please try to enable it and look for any PHP errors in the logs that could provide more information.

If you're not familiar with it, we can also look into it after you enabled the WP debug mode. We will need a WP login in this case.
