Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2025, to January 4th, 2026, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Hello gabs01,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
There is no recommended size for sliders. Each slider is different, you need to size them as you see fit depending on their look and on the page where they are inserted, so they fit your site's layout best.
Also, the initial sizes of the slider are just the "base" for it. The responsive mode you choose will do the resizing and scaling. If you show us your site we can check on the slider.
Thank you. As I've mentioned there is no recommended or globally accepted size for sliders. You use what fits your needs and looks good on your site. A slider can be very small or it can cover your whole site. It's completely up to you, and what you want to achieve.
One thing I've noticed is that your image does not fill the slider. You can adjust this by adding 100% to the width and height values of that image layer, so it will cover your whole slider. You could also adjust the slider's initial sizes in the Slider Settings to match your image's aspect ratio better.
Please select the Full Sized layout and the Hero Scene mode for your slider in the Slider Settings -> Layout tab. After that navigate to the Slide Options and add your image as a slide background image. Continue with selecting the cover or stretch value (test which one works for you better) for it with the Size option. And finally reposition your text layer where you want it inside the slider.
Well, you cannot fill the slider without distorting the image, when the image and the slider have different aspect ratios. They just won't fit each other, like a 16:9 video won't fit a 4:3 TV screen. This is not an issue in the slider, it's just simply how aspect ratios work.
You will need to match the slider's sizes to the image's sizes. The size, or more like the aspect ratio you're looking for is the same as your image. You will need to check your image and use its size/aspect ratio for the slider. And finally set the slider back to normal responsive layout, because the fullwidth and full size layouts will not match your image perfectly.
