    I am having trouble with the image editor. When I click on the image editor button, the editor opens up but it will not let me do any editing. A thumbnail of the image shows, however, when I click any of the editing buttons, I simply get the spinning waiting icon. I've tried several times, but the editor simply will not function for me.

    I'm building a slider and want an overlay to mute the image.

    Hello Shane Zeppelin,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

    There were some changes in the image editor that is included to the plugin. Are you using the latest release (6.7.6.) of LayerSlider currently ? There might be some issues with the old (non-updated) editor that is included to outdated releases.

    I have couple other questions....is there way to choose a Google font instead of the basic 5 choices that come up within the editor?

    Also, is there a way to put a drop shadow behind a PNG image and or text within the editor?

    Yes, both of these are possible. You can add any Google Font in the LayerSlider WP -> Options -> Google Fonts tab, after that you just have to enter the name to the Font Family field. And you can apply shadow or any other custom CSS for layers in their Styles tab in the Custom CSS field. For example: text-shadow: 2px 2px;

    Regarding the original problem, I believe that it might be a conflict problem on your installation or a server configuration issue (but that's not too likely). We didn't receive any reports regarding this feature not working, and we did not experience this either. Could you please try to temporary disable other plugins and switch to a default WP theme to see if that solves the issue. Please also check the LayerSlider System Status, located in the Options menu on the WP sidebar, for any related error messages that could provide more information.

    RE: Fonts, thank you! Very nice!

    RE: CSS shadow, ok, again thank you. This would be nice to have an option to choose with a button in a future release. I have used a similar slider builder that had this option without having to search for a CSS solution, but again thank you.

    RE: original issue, maybe it's because this is a staging site and not on a live site, but I will do further testing and reply back to this ticket.

    Attila, I'm having an issue with the slider going to a white screen in between slides. I'm trying to create a slider with seamless transitions between slides (using the last image from one slide as the first image in the next slide) as well as the layers of objects and text on top of it. When the slide transitions to the next slide, theirs a fade or a flash between slides. Where can I adjust that setting?

    It's like a fade out after each slide. I can't see where to change that to a simple stop.

    This has to do with the layers within each slide. I would like an image and text transcend each slide into the next slide, so I stop those layers at the end of the current slide with a 0 second transition, and then copy those images in the same position on the next slide with a 0 second opening transition. It seems that during each slide the layers turn off just before the slide ends and turns on just after the slide begins causing the layer to "blink". This is what I'm trying to remove.

    Layers are always animated out at the end of a slide, so there will be a small break between the layers showing if you set it up this way. However, you could use the static layers to bypass this. The option to set a layer static is located in the Layers -> Transitions tab at the bottom, it is called 'Keep this layer visible: ...'  With this you can keep a layer over the slideshow without animating out.
