    i bought ArchTEK theme in 2013. It included LayerSlider plugin

    My site was hacked and it seemed LayerSlider was corrupted

    I bought NEW LayerSlider today and attempted to install it 

     1:  It will not allow me to install the new zip over the old installation

    2: It will not allow me to enter my purchase code when I activate the (old?) Layer Slidr

       I get this error

              Cannot find admin - sorry.

    Please help me get right with LayerSlider.

    I am excited to use version 6.5!!!!

    Hello Dov Jacobson,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

    Unfortunately some themes are restricting the update and/or activation method of the plugin that could result in problems like this.

    I'd recommend to manually update the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider. 

    You will need to completely remove the bundled version first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation at the same time. 

    Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.
