    Hello,

this is my second ticket about this issue. I have not received a reply to my previous ticket.

I bought Layer Slider and would like to import a free practice template into my WP dashboard. Here is what happens:

    1. after waiting for quite some time with the Downloading.... message, I receive an error message as follows:

It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from importing your selected slider. Please check LayerSlider -> Settings -> Options Status for potential errors, try to temporarily disable themes/plugins to rule out incompatibility issues or contact your hosting provider to resolve server configuration problems. Retrying the import might also help. Your HTTP server thrown the following error:
     Internal Server Error

    2. Then, in my Media folder in WP I see one image from the template, in this case autumn-bg.jpg

    3. in my LayerSlider WP area I see that a template named Anniversary Slider has downloaded. (BTW, I tried this many times with all templates, and it always only shows Anniversary Slider, but with different images in the Media folder.) The Anniversary Slider itself is empty, no template things show.

Perhaps I should have a phone consult or some other help with you to fix my issues with LayerSlider? I would very much like to integrate it into my website but do not understand the problem. My host provider does not know, either. I already called them.

    Thank you,

    Lokita Carter

    Hello Lokita,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

I've checked, but there are no other tickets opened from you or your Envato account.

Regarding the problem. The "Internal server error" (error 500) is a web server configuration issue, related to your host. In your case it could be a memory limitation problem or execution time limit, because you are trying to utilize more content than your server can handle in the given amount of time.

First, please check the LayerSlider System Status, located in the Options menu on the WP sidebar, for any additional error messages or notifications that could provide more information.

    Dear Attila,

thank you for your reply, much appreciated. Hm, maybe I never posted the previous ticket? Or maybe I sent an email? Anyway, thank you for helping me now. I checked the system status as you suggested, and see no errors. Please see attached screenshots. What can I do next?

    Best, Lokita

    Thank you for the feedback.

As I've mentioned the "Internal server error" is a web server configuration issue and probably related to some kind of limitation in your case.

The "Internal server error" is almost always a PHP error related problem, but currently the exact error message is not visible as the WP debug mode is not enabled. Please enable it and look for any PHP errors in the logs that could provide more information.

If you're not familiar with it, your host should also be able to do this. They can check on the error logs to find out what's happening exactly and what needs to be changed in the server.

In the meantime please also try to look for any incompatibility problems by temporary disabling other plugins and switching to a default theme. Just to make sure that it's not caused by a 3rd party item.
