I've been having issues with saving a slider that I've been trying to update. Now and again I'll get an error when saving (something like bad request) but when trying again a little while later, the button goes green and says saved. But if I close the slider and reopen it, the slides seems not to be editable (I cannot go to any other slider apart from the 1st slide) and I cannot select anything on the slide. I can however go back to a previous revision (losing some work along the way) which brings it back into an editable state, but I seem to keep hitting an error even after reverting to a previous revision, the slider file seems to become unusable and I have to start again.
I'm duplicating a slider that I want to update so that I don't damage the original (which still works OK), and working on the copy each time. I've now done this about 5 times and I still get to a stage where I think the slider has been saved successfully, but when testing it out it doesn't work correctly, and when I reopen the slider to edit it, I get back to a damaged and unrecoverable slider file, again.
If I can't find a resolution to this error, I will have no other choice but to look at using another alternative slider plugin.

Problems with the saving method such as this, are usually related to server configuration issues unfortunately. In your case it could be a memory limitation problem or execution time limit, because you are trying to utilize more content than your server can handle in the given amount of time. But it might be generated by something else as well.
