    Hi,

Is it possible to prevent layerslider to download a background image a couple of times? I have a slide with one background image, but its downloaded 10x .

I could find the same effect on your demo slider:

    https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/sliders/catering-christmas-slider/

If you open dev tools, you can see that downloaded content rises.

xmas-table-bg-1.jpg is downloaded after couple of seconds 30 times.

How can I get rid of this?

    Thanks

Thank you for your patience. The dev team looked into this, but they couldn't reproduce it on their end.
On what OS / browser combination do you see this exactly ?

    Hi,

    I use Safari 12.0 on macOS 10.13.6.

I attached a screenshot which demonstrate my result..

On it you can see the backgroundimage loaded several times and pagesize is 74MB and rising.

Thank you. My colleagues and I will look into this to see if we can find anything, and get back to you shortly.

We've tested this further on Safari 12.0 Mac OS 10.12.6 Sierra and it worked correctly for us. It downloads everything only once.  The Page Size is 5,35MB and it loads 34 elements and stops there, there are no additional downloads. We've waited more than 10 cycles to make sure.

What we can think of is that there was an issue with the CDN server. Please try to check on this again. And if it's still occurring for you, please test it on another browser. We were not able to reproduce this issue on any device or browser or under any circumstances.
