Limited availability during the holidays
Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2025, to January 4th, 2026, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.
We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!
Our website designer started the site (years ago now) with the slides you see appearing. I've gone in to edit them (for example changing "more than 200 horses" to "more than 400 horses" and adding another slide, but these changes are not appearing.
I've attached screenshots of what should be the first 3 slides. You can go to our page on the website (www.aftertheraces.org) to see what you see. I've of course saved changes. Please advise.
Hello aftertheraces,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
In case the live site does not reflect the back-end, there is most likely some caching problem involved. The case is probably that the slider does not get updated on the live site, an old version of it is being loaded instead. Some kind of caching is preventing the slider from updating, so the changes made to it are not showing. Please look for any cache plugin/script/method on your installation that could be preventing the slider from updating. Might be generated by your theme as well.
I can't find any cache related plugin. I looked in my Theme settings and didn't find any options for clearing or managing cached information. All I did was edit information in a slide set that has been on our website since Day 1. I don't understand why the changes would not appear?
Looks like I just had to dump my browser cache.
Thank you for the feedback, glad you could solve the problem. If you need further assistance please let us know.
