I use layerslier to make a slider that uses many layers more then 100 and the after 127, saving the job answer with error, I followed all suggestions present already in other cases, also contacted the server provider (Siteground) to increse memory settings but useles, they suggested to ask you what parameters have to be increased to avoid the problem, the error is:
It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from saving your work. Please check LayerSlider -> Options -> System Status for potential errors, try to temporarily disable themes/plugins to rule out incompatibility issues or contact your hosting provider to resolve server configuration problems. Your HTTP server thrown the following error:
Request Entity Too Large
the system status is attached and doesn't show any issue and also disabled other plugins.
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
There is no limit for sliders/slides/layers you can use, only your web server configuration could prevent creating more content after a point.
In case the System Status is all green, the request entity too large error message is likely related to the Apache webserver Mod Security module. With these kind of errors, usually the LimitRequestBody directive needs to be changed by the server operators.
I'd recommend to contact your hosting with this case as only they have the necessary tools to adjust this. They can check on the module, or further on this error in the logs, and make the necessary changes to the server configuration.
the hosting people have added to .htacces file the following settings : LimitRequestBody 99999999999 and SubstituteMaxLineLength 30m but the problem is still present. In the meantime I've setup a local server Xampp and installed worpress and the plugin it seemd working I could go futher adding more layers to the job but I found another limit after that the server says "saved" but if I exit the slider when I come back the added layers have disappeard no errors are showed and system status is all green.
Thank you for the feedback, but unfortunately we do not have any way to fix this problem from our end. As it's a server configuration issue only your host can adjust this. They have the necessary permissions and tools to modify the server settings and change what's needed. Since we do not have access to your server settings we can only guess what might be wrong, however your host can check the error logs to easily identify the source of the issue, where and why it happens. One thing is for sure, there seems to be some kind of server limit that prevents creating/saving more content. We are really sorry about this inconvenience, but this can only be adjusted by your host and server settings.
In the meantime you could also look for any incompatibility problems by temporary disabling other plugins and switching to a default theme. Just to make sure that it's not caused by a 3rd party item, but it's most likely not.
