Dear customer support, I'm having troubles with a layerslider came bundled with enfold theme by kriesi. This is not the first time i use Enfold, and not the first time I use the layerslider bundled with the theme, and everything works.
So i need to specify that the website i'm having problems with is hosted on the same provider of other websites i manage, same wordpress version, same plugins, same php version 7.1.
Ok let's come to the problem, the slides BLINK before sliding to the new slide. (you can see in the homepage)
I tried all the options, to reset, to reinstall, to create new slides, also in the preview of the effect window you can see the little thumbnails blinking before changing slide.
I'm getting crazy, so i asked at kriesi support but they made some test and they said that can't solve the problem, so I bought the license of this plugin only for asking support to you.
Slides blinking is not quite the results i wanted to have on a relaxing slideshow.
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
The slide transitions are using the slide background images to animate. If you don't have any slide background image set, there won't be a slide transition displayed. Could you please check whether you have the slide images set up properly ?
Thank you for the feedback. We've looked into this and there seems to be something wrong with your server (Apache). The browser tries to download the images over and over again as the slider proceeds. So the transition is basically there, but it cannot really be seen as the images are reloaded constantly, resulting in this flashing.
This error is most likely generated because of the HTTP headers, and it's related to the cache handling and connection keep alive directives.
First of all I'd recommend to look for any possible incompatibility problems by temporary disabling other plugins and switching to a default theme. Just to make sure that it's not caused by a 3rd party item.
Naturally, this error does not only occur in LayerSlider, it's present on your whole site and could affect other items too. It's highly recommended to look into this, as basically your site is telling the browsers not to use cache, and it will slow down the server, and could affect user experience too.
Your opinion made me think, I went to see the server configuration in the Cpanel and it was on "testing", now i moved on "production" and everything works.
Probably the testing mode does not cache anything and force the website to work continuing asking stuff to the server. Now the layer slider is ok and also the website is responding faster and smoother.
This is how a stupid forgetfulness can cause you (me in this case) waste of time and sometimes money :)
Thank you really much for your analysis.

Hi Attila and thank for answering.
i attach you what i see in the configuration of the first slide.
The image of the pizza is set into "slide background image" section and is not a layer. is this what you mean?
