Is there a size limit on sliders? I ask because I am getting a response from my server that says "Requested entity too large." I have explored this error, and all settings have been increased to exceed any limits my server or Wordpress would have in place. Yet I still can't continue with this slider.
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
There is no limit for sliders/slides/layers you can use, only your web server configuration could prevent creating more content after a point. It seems like this happened to you too. A limit was set by your server that does not let more content to be added to the slider. Please check the LayerSlider System Status, located on the WordPress sidebar, to see if there is any error or notification.
Hello, the first thing I did when receiving this message was to check the system status. There are no errors. The second thing I did was to have all limits increased to their maximum, which exceed your recommendations. The issue is still happening; in fact it has gotten worse in that I deleted some layers, then went to reinstall them (manually, as I could not use revisions - see other ticket), and halfway through I got the error message, even though these are the same layers I just removed. I couldn't really stop to wait for a response because I'm on a deadline, so I had to resort to linking sliders by making one a popup triggered by a layer on the other.
I get that this error is likely not yours and relates to my configuration, but can you give me any insight into what else could be causing it? I have done everything I can think of. Could you look at my system status and tell me me if you see anything out of place that might not be enough to throw an error message out but could still be problematic? A log in and password was previously given on another ticket.
In case the System Status is all green, we cannot really tell much else from our end unfortunately, as we do not have the necessary tools to check your server logs or settings, not even with a WP login.
But the request entity too large error message could be related to the Apache webserver Mod Security module as well. With these kind of errors, usually the LimitRequestBody directive needs to be changed by the server operators.
If you're still experiencing the problem I'd recommend to contact your hosting. They can check on this error further in the logs and make the necessary changes to the server configuration.
