    Good Day,

I have been trying to open my popup from within a button on another slider. I am able to do so via a html link in a widget but cannot seem to get the popup to work when clicking on my button.

I have read your comment on other posts i.e. :

f you want to trigger the popup with a button (layer) inside the slider, you will need to enter the following line to the Open By Click field: #example
And then set an ID in the Link & Attributes tab, for the same button (layer) with the same name: example

I just do not understand what I am doing wrong. Perhaps you can explain the above more clearly.

    Hello DragNfLy,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

I'm afraid there is no further explanation on how to achieve this. You will simply need to follow the copied instructions to set it up. What exactly that is not clear for you ? Did you add the selector to the Open By Click field of the popup slider ? Did you set an ID attribute on the button layer in the normal slider ? Did you insert both sliders to the same page ?

    Hi Attila,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I have a slider with a layer style 'Button'. This button has 'Link & Attributes' with 'ENTER URL' set to: #mypopup
The button also has 'Common Attributes' ID set to: mypopup

This should open another slider (Pop-up slider) where I have set the 'Open by click' to: #mypopup

    What am I missing?

The URL linking field is not needed to use in this case. Only the ID field. Please remove the linking to see if that works. If not, please set up a temporary WP login for us and a test page with the popups, so we can check on the settings to see what might be wrong.

Thank you for the login, but unfortunately this user does not have permission to your plugins so we cannot access LayerSlider either.

Thank you. The problem was that you have not included the popup slider to the page and the Open By Click field was also incorrect. As you've previously read in the popup setup instructions, the popup also has to be added to the page, otherwise it can't load. I've set it be loaded on the home page and also corrected the Open By Click field, it needed a # as it's an ID selector.

    Hi Attila,

Thank you so much. The slider is added to a widget which is on the front-page. I added both sliders to the widget which appears on the Home page. I did not think to select the Home page as well. All good though and thank you.

Could you also please have a look at the 'Info Popup' slider HTML. The html is meant to show up as an unordered list. My bullets do not show at all.

    Thanks.
