This morning a Slider on my home page wouldn't display the images that were entered with the slider. I did not update anything on the site since yesterday. I went into WP LayerSlider and clicked the save button on the settings and images page witout actually changing anything and the product started working properly. I noticed that I'm set up for automatic updates and I'd like to turn that off. How do I turn off automatic updates on this product?
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
The automatic updates does not mean that the plugin updates itself without user interaction. You will still need to initiate the update if the plugin is activated and able to receive automatic updates.
Regarding the missing images, LayerSlider cannot delete its data or layers by itself. This was most likely caused by something else, probably a server backup method or a synchronization/cache solution on your installation, that interfered with the image paths and their availability or cached them incorrectly. Please try to look for anything like this on your WP admin that could be interfering with the images.
It means that you can utilize the automatic updates feature provided by the plugin. With it you can update the plugin with just one click, instead of reinstalling or other update method.

Thanks for the reply. I took the plugin message on the Dashboard "You are setup for automatic updates" literally. What exactly does this mean?
