How do I get rid of black bars on either side of the slider? The video is sized to match the size of the slider 1140x425. What setting makes them appear the same size?

You can make layers always take up the whole size of the slider by setting 100% to their width and height options in the Styles tab. But even if you match the layer (video player) size to the slider, the actual video inside the player could have a different aspect ratio, meaning that there will be blank parts on the sides. This is basically the same as if you would watch a 4:3 film in a 21:9 TV for example ->
