Unfortunately some themes are restricting the update and/or activation method of the plugin that could result in problems like this.
I'd recommend to manually update the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider with our version.
You will need to completely remove the bundled version first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation.
Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.

I originally updated the plugin without having an activated copy. I purchased a theme that had it included. Once I updated the plugin my slider picture no longer showed. Then I saw about activating the plugin and I went and purchased your plugin separate from the theme. Of course it would not activate which is why I submitted the first support ticket. I deactivate the plugin, deleted it, and then reinstalled the once I downloaded when I purchased your plugin separate. Now I still have the same issue of the pictures not showing in the slider. What can I do to get the pictures to show in the slider? Below is the site if you wanted to go and you will see the slider and no pictures in it but the words show.

The theme I originally purchased it in was thru Envato Market. It is the Church & Event Theme. The theme as well as all plugins are updated. I updated your plugin prior to updating the theme. I updated the them about a week after I updated your plugin.
Thank you for your feedback. I've checked and the slider on your homepage does not have any image layers added, and it has no slide background image either. That is why no image is showing up. Could you please check on the admin of the slider ? Seemingly there is no image added to it at all, neither as layer nor as slide backround.
I purchased the plug in but the code will not work. HostGator said the error is in the Plugin.

Thank you. I didn't know you responded because I didn't get an email. I deleted it and reinstalled it. It is now activated. Thank you for your help.
