You can manually update the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider.
You will need to completely remove the current version first in the Plugins WP menu, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation.
Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.
Did you receive it originally with a theme ? Some themes are deeply integrating plugins and it might not be that easy to remove them unfortunately. In that case you will need to contact with the theme author to see how you can remove their bundled and integrated version, so you can install ours.

I deactivated it but nothing came up to delete it? just activate so i reactivated it but still the same
