how do you reduce the line spacing on a responsive text that is overlaid on a parallax image. The text has a blocked-out background, and we want each line of blocking to be butt up against each other, so there is no space between lines and the line blocking then looks like a complete block.

To bypass this, you can set a background color for the text layer, or you can even create another layer (a simple colored transparent square) and position it behind the text.
Also, you can create separate layers and layouts for mobile and desktop view in the same slide, and only show them on the required device with the device specific layers. Furthermore, you also have the option to set a minimum font size for texts on mobiles.
Additionally to the device specific layers, you could also build two sliders with different sizes or with different content for dekstop/mobile, include them both to the site, and only display them (using the Hide over and Hide under options) on the required device.
