LayerSlider Pop Ups

Not sure why but having trouble launching Pop Ups from another LayerSlider Slide. What’s the trick?

I have three Popups that should launch if an element with the assigned ID is clicked. Element IDs in the parent Slider are vid1, vid2 and vid3. All on separate images in the parent slider. All three PopUp sliders are present in the parent page.

    What could be the problem?

I can create a simple div and give it the trigger ID and that works but launching from a parent LayerSlider fails. Could it be load sequence? Meaning the order in which each sliders code is set in the page?

    Hello Steve Guluk,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Please try to use the plugin's built-in options to apply IDs or other attributes to layers. You can do that in the Link & Attributes tab of each layer. It should work without any problem that way.

I tried that... I've linked to a null (#) and then gave an ID to the element. I've also tried just the element having a matching ID to trigger the Popup but that also did not work.

Each Popup is present as is the plugin...

Maybe the issue is sequence in the DOM? For instance, make sure the individual Popups are loaded before the Slider that calls them? Unlikely as the "call" is a click event and all players should be present in the DOM when calling each popup.

You don't have to link the layer, a link applied on the layer might be interfering in certain cases with the trigger. You only need to apply the ID on it, for it to work.

If you still have problems setting it up, please create a temporary WP login for us, so we can check your settings in the back-end.

Yes, that is 100% correct. If there is a link, even if it's a ' # ' symbol the pop-ups wont work.
