how to enable navigation dots

    Hello!

Love layerslider - Using the Avada skin on my Avada site for all but one slider. My other slider uses V6. It has the nav dots at the bottom of the slider. I really want those dots on my other sliders, but nothing I've tried will get them to show - and I've gone through documentation and knowledge base - no luck!

I like the subtle shadows and borders that I get from the Avada skin. V6 seems a little flat for me.

Also, is there a way to tell if the sliders are slowing my site down. I'm thinking I have too many slides, even though I've optimized each image. But question one is most important!

    Thank you!

    Hello eatfoiegras,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

You can enable the navigation dots in the Slider Settings -> Navigation Area section.

Regarding performance, normally the slider shouldn't slow down your site at all, but LayerSlider offers multiple options (Advanced tab) that you can utilize to increase performance. The conditional script loading option will only load the scripts when they are needed. The include scripts in the footer option helps with eliminating the render-blocking scripts. The slider markup caching option spares server resources and lowers database connections. Please also note that the caching is not present for logged in admins, so you might not see the difference on the back-end. There is also the Optimize for mobile option in the Slider Settings -> Mobile tab (hidden by default).
