    Hi

I created a slider in the Italian section of the site (www.miosito.it/it)
    I exported it
and I tried to import it in the English section of the site (www.miosito.it/en)
    but the import says:
0 sliders has been successfully imported.
Both have the same version of Enfold (4.4.1)
and the same version of Layer Slider (6.7.1)
    Because it does not work?
    Thank you

    Hello paliagapino,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Problems with the importing method such as this, are usually related to server configuration issues unfortunately.

Please check the LayerSlider System Status, located in the Options menu on the WordPress sidebar, for any error messages or notifications that could provide additional information on this case.

    Hi Attila
thanks for the answer, in LayerSlider System Status I read these errors:

    (1) LayerSlider version: 6.7.1
Update to latest version (6.7.6), as we are constantly working on new features, improvements and bug fixes.

    (2) Install Location Non-standard
Using LayerSlider from a non-standard install location or having a different directory name could lead issues in receiving and installing updates. Commonly, you see this issue when you’re using a theme-included version of LayerSlider. To fix this, please first search for an option to disable/unload the bundled version in your theme, then re-install a fresh copy downloaded from CodeCanyon. Your sliders and settings are stored in the database, re-installing the plugin will not harm them.

    (3) PHP Post Max Size: 16M
Importing larger sliders could be problematic in some cases. This option is needed to upload large files. We recommend to set it to at least 16MB or higher. Please contact your host and ask them to change this PHP setting on your web server accordingly.

    (4) PHP Max Upload Size: 16M
Importing larger sliders could be problematic in some cases. This option is needed to upload large files. We recommend to set it to at least 16MB or higher. Please contact your host and ask them to change this PHP setting on your web server accordingly.

For the n.1 they have the same release

For the n.2 I do not know if it creates a problem

For the n.3 and n.4 the file + of 3.4 Mb

    Where is the problem?Thanks
    Pino

It's always recommended to update to the newest release of the plugin. New versions might contain improvements and bug fixes.

Regarding the Non-standard Install Location. Did you originally receive the plugin with a theme ? Some features, such as updates, premium and activation might be limited. It's also recommended to reinstall the plugin with our release from CodeCanyon, but not necessary if you're managing with the theme bundled version.

The PHP Post Max Size and PHP Max Upload Size settings are most likely the culprit for the issue you are facing. They will likely need to be raised a little so there is no problem with the import. Your hosting can help you with that.

    Hi Attila
    LayerSlider was included in Enfold
but then I bought the license
in fact I do not understand why it is not updated.
    What do you suggest me?
    thank you

    Pino

I'd recommend to manually update the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon and reinstalling LayerSlider.

You will need to completely remove the bundled version first, as there cannot be two instances of the plugin present on your installation.

Please note that your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.

You can also find detaled installation instructions in the documentation, please refer to the following URL: https://support.kreaturamedia.com/docs/layersliderwp/documentation.html#plugin-setup

    Thanks for your patience
How do I recognize that it is the bundled version?
And how do I delete it?

  • [deleted] replied

The  Install Location Non-standard notification suggests that it's a theme bundle, as the plugin is not installed to the default location where it would be normally.

You should be able to delete it in the WP Plugins menu if your theme does not integrate it deeply. After that you can do a clean install: https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/documentation/#plugin-setup

Also, did you have any luck with the PHP Post Max Size and PHP Max Upload Size settings ?

    Hi Attila
I downloaded version 6.7.6 from CodeCanyon

and I installed the plugin regularly both in the /it version and in the /es version

I have exported the slide from /it and the file occupies 3Mbyte (therefore under the limit of 16 Mbyte)

But at the time of importing in /es I continue to receive the usual message:
"0 sliders has been successfully imported"

    Where am I wrong?
    Thank you

Please set up a temporary WP login for us where we can check this error. Make sure to set the message to private that contains the credentials.

I've checked the export file and it seems to be corrupted. I tried to import it to our demo site with way larger upload size set and it failed there as well. Also, when you try to open the zip it just throws an error. Somehow the file became corrupted and it can no longer be used, that is why it cannot be imported either.

Please export the original slider again and try to import that.

In that case, the zip file already becomes corrupted during the export process. Most likely a 3rd party item is interfering with it during the export, causing this issue.

Please temporary switch to a default WP theme and disable other plugins, and try to export then.
