Making the layer slider fit the full width of my viewport

I imported the "Dynamic Slider" demo template to my wordpress (I'm building on wamp).  I'm trying to make the slider stretch and fit the entire width/height of home screen upon loading, but I can't get the slider to stretch. I've also added icons to the slideshow, but the checkmarks are not showing. How do I get the slider to fit the entire view, and what do I need to do about the checkmarks? I've attached a screenshot below.

    Hello howardems,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

If you would like a fullscreen slider, please select the Full size layout in the Slider Settings. Additionally you can select the Hero scene mode for it inside the Full size section. This option will always match the slider's height to the viewport, so it will always cover 100% of the browser window's height, regardless of the viewing environment.

Regarding the icons, I'd recommend to use LayerSlider's built-in methods to add buttons/icons. That way they should appear without any problem.
