Staging Site Activation

    I've moved my Layer Slider activation to my primary domain but I can't activate it on my subdomain staging sites.   I have 3 staging sites (stage1.primarydomain, stage2.primarydomain, stage3.primarydomain).  I've checked the knowledge base & documentation and it seems that everything is setup correctly to activate LayerSlider on the staging sites.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you!

    (FYI . . . the stage1 & stage2 sites are password protected, stage3 isn't.  It won't activate on any of the sites)

    Hello Roger_Jolicoeur,

    Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

    The plugin automatically identifies development environments, where it does let additional activations of the license. They are the following:

    - the site URL is an IP address;
    - has no TLD (e.g. localhost, local, etc.)
    - the TLD or subdomain has a typical name (e.g. dev, test, local, stage, staging, etc.)
    - is on a whitelist (e.g. *.staging.wpengine.com)

    Your dev site needs to fall under at least one of these categories to work. Otherwise the plugin won't recognize it.

    I read the documentation and I as far as I can tell I have everything setup according to the instructions.

    What in particular do I need to change to make this work?

    Thanks

    The problem is that you are using stage1, stage2 and stage3 aldomains. However the plugin only accepts the "stage" aldomain, without additional numbers. You will need to correct that to make it work. You can also use other aldomains that are accepted, such as test, dev and so on.

    Thanks for the response.  I was able to get this working yesterday but I forgot to update the ticket.  Sorry about that.

    You probably know this but in case it's helpful . . . I was able to get this to work by changing my subdomains to "staging.1" "staging.2" and "staging.3".  I'm not sure if all hosting services allow the extra period but it works on SiteGround.

    Thanks again!
