On your Popup Feature page (https://layerslider.kreaturamedia.com/features/popups/#) there is a “Photo Gallery” button that opens a popup window.  I like the opening animation and the styling of this popup window.  Would it be possible to replace the photo gallery with a Vimeo video player?

If not, is there another way to create this?

What styling & animation setting were used for the “Photo Gallery” popup on the page noted above?

I'm new to WordPress & LayerSlider so please don't assume that I know anything.  =)

    Thank You!!!

Update:  I've got LayerSlider installed & activated.  I've located & downloaded the Photo Gallery template.

    Hello Roger,

Thank you for the feedback, glad you could solve the problem. If you need further assistance please let us know.

I've almost got this working but the video stalls after the popup opens and the video appears.  I'm using the Divi theme  and a LayerSlider popup with a Vimeo video player.  I'm triggering the popup sing using one of Divi's default buttons.

The popup opens, the video appears, the play button shows the pause sign (not the play sign) but the video doesn't play.  If I click on the pause button and press the play button again the video starts.  This is on a password protected subdomain staging site so I'd need to setup a login for you if you need to see the page.

I've attached a screen shot showing the popup when it first appears.  Again the video stalls in the state shown in the attachment until the pause button is pressed and then the play button is pressed.  It plays normally after that.  I need the video to start & continue playing automatically after the popup & player loads.

    Thanks for you assistance!

One more thing on this issue . . . if I close the popup and reopen it without refreshing the page it works properly.  After I refresh the page the video stalls again the first time the popup is triggered.

Please set up a login so we can check on this. We will need to see it to be able to torubleshoot.

I think I found the problem but I'd like you to test this to confirm .  Also, I'd like to see if your developers might be able to find a work around for this.

While I was trying to solve this I came across this Web site.  Apparently, google has disabled video autoplay in chrome unless the page meets certain criteria (its unclear what the criteria is).

You can test this by using Chrome to go to the admin panel of a WordPress site that has the LayerSlider installed.  Then in the LayerSlider  plugin create a new popup slider and put a video layer linked to a Vimeo video (the Vimeo video needs to have audio).  When you click the test button in the LayerSlider plugin you'll see that the video loads but doesn't play.

Try the same thing using FireFox and it will work.

Please check this and let me know if you have the same result and if you can provide a solution so the video will autoplay in a popup in Chrome.

Thank you for the feedback. We've just released a new version. The end of the changelog reads the following:

Chrome 66's Autoplay Policy Change: Google introduced new browser restrictions, which will prevent automatic video/audio playback in certain situations. Autoplay is now allowed only when either the media won't play sound, after the user clicks or taps on the site, or (on desktop) if the user has previously shown an interest in media on the site.

Another follow-up update will arrive soon, which will provide further options to mitigate these restrictions. Since it's governed by the browser, there is no way to restore the previous behavior. However, we can supply alternate options like autoplaying muted videos where visitors can restore sound with a separate button.

So the dev team is trying to bypass this Chrome problem at the moment.

    OK . . . here's a link to a popup player that works in Chrome (https://fancyapps.com/fancybox/3/).

It might be helpful to look at how how they're doing this.   The 2nd box in the top row of the video section is a Vimeo video example.

Thanks for sharing this. I'll forward it to the dev team.
