Also, one of my slides doesn't let a user scroll back. Check out our site, and the "movement is spreading" section with posters .. you can't go backwards
Also, when using a video background (as we do above the fold) it takes a second to load.. thoughts on how to best optimized?

I've checked your site, but I was able to scroll backwards after the 'movement is spreading' section. As I can see that slider was not created with LayerSlider either.
LayerSlider offers multiple options (Advanced tab) that you can utilize to increase performance. The conditional script loading option will only load the scripts when they are needed. The include scripts in the footer option helps with eliminating the render-blocking scripts. The slider markup caching option spares server resources and lowers database connections. There is also the Optimize for mobile option in the Slider Settings -> Mobile tab (hidden by default). But unfortunately as I can see it's the video player itself that takes longer time to load. The slider is already loaded before that, so it's most likely related to the video's provider/source.
Regarding the parallax, what do you mean exactly that you can't activate it. Is that option greyed out in the admin or it does not work in the front-end ?
hey - so I had to take your slider down and replace it with another. after deactivating all plugins and running it alone, the issue still persisted so I took it down :(
As far as not enabling parallax, what I mean is this -- when editing a slider, I select transitions, then parallax. But the button to turn parallax on won't slide.
And also, if I turn off the opening transition, I can't turn it back on.
Hello -
I can't activiate parallax on any of my slides.

Please set up a temporary WP login for us, so we can look around in the back-end to locate the source of the issue.
