When we resize a window with the LayerSlider on it, in certain circumstances we are seeing white spaces appearing either side of the slide show. Is there a way of preventing this from happening?
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
I have checked your site but for me the slider is being displayed properly at the moment. It is being resized responsively.
Have you managed to fix the problem in the meantime ?
In case not, could you please specify on what OS/browser/device are you experiencing this exactly ?
I am running Apple OSX 10.13.3 and I see the issue in the very latest versions of Safari, Firefox and Chrome.
And so does my client. They are also running Apple OSX using Firefox.
The white space can appear on either side of the slider and you see it when you manually resize the window. It does not happen all the time. However it does happen please see screen grabs of windows after they have been resized.
You may need to move the window size around a bit to replicate the issue - it does not happen all the time but try pulling a window out and then back in again a couple of times.
Thank you for your patience. The problem seems to be that your theme is not handling responsiveness in real-time. It is delaying and slowly animating the responsive changes of the site and its content (including the slider). So it's possible that when you resize the browser window too fast, a vertical scrollbar appears. We believe that this is a theme related issue, I'd recommend to look around in the theme options and look for a setting that can control this, or simply exclude the slider from this theme behavior.
Thank you very much for looking into this. We are using a theme called "Ultra" from themify.me. We are using their "Builder" plugin and we had initially put the Layerslider shortcode in one of the Builder's blocks.
Following on from your post below, we have removed it from the blocks and have pasted the shortcode above that content in the standard Wordpress editing area.
And that works! The sliders are now working and resizing correctly.
So thank you for your assistance. The issue now looks resolved and you can close this ticket.
