Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
You can easily create a scroll down button with LayerSlider. Just set up a button or any layer, and apply "Scroll to element (Enter selector)" linking on it that points and will take the user further down the page (to the element specified with the selector).
You can find such button in some of the demo sliders as well if you need an example.
Thanks Attila, but I don't think I was clear. I don't need a button that will scroll a user down the page. What I want to achieve is to have just an arrow that points down but that is animated so it is moving downward, then disappears for a fraction of a second then appears and drops down. Just to let a user know there is more content below the slider. I guess it's how to animate a layer...???
So I now realize what I need is in transitions, as I found this explanation from you on another post. My problem now is that I don't know how to enable the loop transition. The enable button is grayed out. Thanks so much for answering these newbie questions!
To recreate this effect you will need to use the settings located in the Loop or Middle Transition section of the corresponding layers. You will need to enable the Yoyo, set the Count to -1 and time them with Duration and Start when and modifiers. You might also need to set the 'Keep this layer visible until: Forever' depending on your setup so the Infinite works properly. I'd recommend to use the timeline view as well. It's located in the preview window next to the Layer options, it can help a great deal with the timings.
Last addition: So now I've made three layers of arrows and have the timing set so they enter at 0, 500, 1000 for 2000ms. Nice effect with the arrows one above another fading in and out. However, on the next slide the fading doesn't happen so it's just the 3 arrows static. Is there a way to make the layers fade in an out like that on every slide? Or do I have to copy the layers to every slide?
Ok! trying to figure it out on my own, but keep getting questions! Thanks for your patience!
Thank you for the feedback, glad you could solve the problem. Yes, I believe the best approach would be to copy the 3 layers to each slide (instead of using static), so they will behave the same. If you need further assistance please let us know.
I'd like a down arrow to show that there is more info below my slider. How can I make the arrow look like it's smoothly animating downward?
thank you
