Full-width not working if canvas size is smaller than screen size

It seems that a slider's width in "Full width" layout is limited by the canvas width, even when the images being used have significantly higher resolutions. I assume that's by design?

But that means that the canvas size for "Full width" layout needs to be at least as large as the maximum screen width used to view the website, which is impossible to predict. Wouldn't it be good to allow scaling beyond the canvas width when "Full width" is explicitly selected?

    Hello Rene,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

The full width layout is not limited by the canvas width option. A full width slider will always stretch to the sides of the browser, or to the sides of its parent element, depending on the applied settings. A slider can scale beyond the canvas width value, if it's set to full width.

However, the slide background image might not follow up on the slider's size and aspect ratio changes by default, so it won't fill the slider's canvas completely. You can adjust this by using cover or stretch for the Size option of the background image.
