I've got a slider already with a button that I want to open a popup. I can get the popup to show up if I use open auto but the on click will not activate. The button has an id of popup1 and the popup on click field has #popup1. But it never works. I can't get the button to activate.

    Hello dragonred7,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Could you please check whether the slide linking is over the layer (button) linking ? It could be preventing the button from being clickable and referring to the wrong URL. You can check this setting in the Slides -> Slide Options -> Slide Linking section.

Nope everything is blank. in both section fields. I have never been able to get a button to work no matter where it is.

Thank you. My colleagues and I will look into this to see if we can find anything else, and get back to you shortly.

We will need an admin access to investigate this further. Please set up a temporary WP login for us.

Seemingly the ID name in the Open By Click field was still missing a #. We've added it now and it seems to be working properly, the popup is opening.

It opens two popup sliders at the moment, I believe you have added it to another popup as well in the meantime.

And I cannot recreate what you did. I created a new Amazon slider with a button popup2. Then and Amazon Popup slider with the Open By Click to #popup2. But nothing. It sits there just like before.

Please verify that you've set the proper ID attribute for the button layer, entered the same name to the open by click field with a # added and you've inserted both of them to the same page.

Thank you for the feedback. We'll login and check what might be wrong with the popup.

We've checked on this, but we were not able to locate the 'amazon' slider that should open the popup. We can see the popup slider inserted to the page, but there is no 'amazon' slider. The other slider with the 'button label' does not have any ID set that could open the popup. Please check whether you've inserted correct slider that you wanted, or apply an ID on that button that's currently inserted.

    Ugh this is getting ridiculous.

Ok theres a slider named "Amazon Popup". Layout is popup and the Open on click has been configured to #popup2.

Theres another slider named "Amazon". It has a button layer with the ID set to popup2.

Then on the page I have [layerslider id="3"] and [layerslider id="7"] which are the 2 sliders.

Please see the attached screenshot. You've set a slide link (#) and positioned it over the layers. It means that the slide link will be the only one clickable in the slider, since you set it on top of all layers (buttons as well). You will need to remove the slide linking or at least set it under the layers to solve this. Please look through and verify the settings of your sliders to avoid these kind of issues in the future.
