We purchased petrescue theme that had layerslider installed.   We continued to get an error that we needed 5.3.0 PHP or above to use.   Although we are using 7.0 php version.   We diecided to purchase the licensed version to see if the error would be eliminated with the updated purchased version but we still get the error and cannot load any slides to the slider.   COuld you help with this error code please?

    Hello Kim Austin,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today.

I would like to confirm that we have received your message. Due to the nature of the issue you are experiencing, I will have to contact and consult with the development team first. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

We appreciate your patience while we're working towards your ticket.

Thank you for your patience. Judging from the errors, the problem is not related to the PHP version, but instead to the PHP DOMDocument class. It seems like the PHP DOM extension is not installed on your server. Please check the LayerSlider System Status to confirm this.

If it's indeed the problem, please contact your hosting and request the installation of the PHP DOM extension.

We were able to get the dom php and other missing extensions loaded and we now have the slider screens and can navigate through the screens.  However, the screen functions buttons are inoperative. As you hover over them they provide the info pop up but the buttons are inactive.  Are we still possibly missing a file?  the status screen shows all green checks as if all is correct.   Any help to get this going would be appreciated.   All other functions in our system works except for the layer slider.

Do you mean the options in the plugin's admin interface by 'screen functions buttons' ? In case yes, unfortunately it might be a conflict problem on your installation, as the System Status does not show anymore errors we can rule out server problems for now. To start troubleshooting please temporary disable other plugins and switch to a default WP theme, to see if that solves the issue.
