Video not playing on apple mobile devices

After some reading in the support forums here I understand that the Layer Slider does not support video on apple mobile devices.  Your response is due to browser restrictions.   I'm curious as to what those restrictions are as a business in our city is successfully displaying video on apple devices with their site.  If there are restrictions, this company has figured it out.

Are there plans for LayerSlider to support video on Apple devices?

The other problem is that the image that replaces the video is static a parallax slider.  Text is cropped, and sliding the image up or down does not reveal the important text information.

As for the company that does support video on Apple devices, here's the url: http://should-media.ca

    Hello aauld,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

The plugin supports videos on iOS devices, like on any other device. So the videos will work. The problem is with the video autoplay, it will not work in most cases on mobile/tablet devices (not just on iOS).

The issue is not related to our plugin, the restrictions (that are limiting the video autoplay) are built into the mobile browsers on purpose by the developers, so unfortunately there is no real way to bypass this behavior from our end.

Videos might autoplay if they are inserted simply to a page, but the slider is a more complex environment, resulting in different situation.

You do not necessarily have to use the fallback image of the video, you can utilize the device specific layers to add any other content in its place.
