I dug through previous tickets and tried troubleshooting but to no avail.
I have placed a link for the entire slide under "more options" and the link does not appear online. I tried linking layers instead, and those links do not work as well.
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
I've checked the slider on the provided URL, but I did not see any linking applied on the slide or layers. I believe something might be preventing them. Could you please set up a temporary WP login for us so we can take a look at this on the back-end as well ?
Thank you. The problem is the -999 value entered for the z-index of this slider (Slider Settings -> Appearance -> Slider CSS). This value places the slider 'under' everything on the page, the links are not clickable anymore as the slider gets to the 'bottom' of the page structure. You will need to use a higher/different z-index to solve it.
Still no luck. I had changed the z-index setting because when I bought the updated slider, it overlapped my old mega menu, I updated the mega menu to one that was updated and a better fit for our site. So, that said I reset the z-index to 0 and even played with numbers up to 1000 and still no link for the slide. Menu was overlapped again, but no link.
So as a temporary fix, I tried linking to layers. Those links worked, but I no longer was able to control the alignment. Anything I did on the back end was not accurate on the front end.
We've logged in, looked around and the issue seems to be related to your theme. Your theme automatically generates <p> elements in the code, so it includes the links (<a> elements) into paragraphs as well. This results in a false code, that has a <p> opening tag, but no closing tag.
We've tried to change your theme temporary to confirm this, but we got a PHP error in the process, so we couldn't do it. Please change your theme to see if that indeed solves this error. You can do this (only you as you have the permission) by temporary changing the theme's folder name through FTP, so WP switches back to a default theme. After you've confirmed the problem, you can rename the folder and re-select the theme in the WP admin.
We're very sorry about the inconveniences, but there is no such issue in LayerSlider, so it's most likely generated by the theme related problem that we've discovered.

So. I am at a loss at the moment.
Thank you for the feedback. My colleagues and I will look into this to see if we can find anything, and get back to you shortly.
