Changing Background Gradient Color

    Hi,

I downloaded one of your templates, the one that says "Hello, I'm Lis a Designer" that has a Purplish background gradient on the left and an image on the right.  I am trying to change the color of the Background Gradient from Purple to blue and I can't seem to figure out how to change the color.  Is there a way to do this?  If not, how do I replace this Background Gradient with a new one that is the color I want?  Is it just an image that was imported or is there a way to adjust?

    Thank you

    Jonny

    Hello Jonny,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

That purple gradient background is an HTML layer. You can select it from the layers list and check what settings we used and how set it up exactly. We styled that particular layer with custom CSS, that you can see under the Styles tab. But you can also create a new one by just using the plugin settings in the same tab or simply by adding an image layer.

Thanks Attila. Ok, I figured that out.  Now I have another question.  I uploaded an image, and in the Slider Creator/Editor, the image looks fine.  It's the right size, takes up the right amount of the slider, etc.  But when I Publish on the site, the image is cut off and leaves a huge black box.  You can check here at the site - https://sustainabletransformationcoaching.com/

You'll see the published one is to the left.  But in the Editor, it looks perfect.  How do I fix that?

One other question - can I add a CTA Newsletter Sign-Up on the slider?  I want to include a CTA box with Name and Email address right there in the slider, somewhere in the gradient section.  How do I do that?

    Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback. My colleagues and I will look into this to see if we can find anything wrong with the slider's layout.

Regarding the CTA box, if it provides a shortcode you can insert that as an HTML layer, and the corresponding content will be shown on the front-end.

Please set the Calculate positions from option to sides of the slider. It's located in the Layers -> Styles tab. This should solve the issue.

    Hi Attila,

Calculating positions from Sides of the Slider actually made it worse.  Before it filled the screen from top to bottom, but now, after changing it, the image doesn't reach top or bottom, nor the right side of the screen.  You can see it at the link https://sustainabletransformationcoaching.com/

    Any other ideas?  Thank you

I adjusted the padding around and got it to work.  But again, it looks good on the published site, but looks off in the Layer Builder/Editor.  I couldn't use the editor as a gauge, I had to change the padding and then reload the published page to see if it worked.  I assume it shouldn't be like that.  Any suggestions on how to avoid that in the future?  Because, now building it in the Editor it doesn't look right.

Actually, now I lost it.  Something is going haywire with the editor/builder.  Nothing on the builder looks like it does in the actual published site, and it keeps changing on me.  Please help me figure this out.  It is very frustrating.

We've managed to locate the problem. The maximum ratio for the slider was set to 1 in the layout / other settings (advanced settings enabled). This option prevents the layers from scaling over their original size, but the slider can still be resized. We've disabled it, so it should be fine. You can now correct the other settings properly.

Thank you Attila!  It is easier to edit, however, I see that the image I see on the Editor still doesn't fully match what I see on my site.  I still need to position my image, for example, outside of the view of the editor in order for it to look aligned on the website.  I included screenshots in the attached word doc.  It's certainly much more manageable now, but my thought is that's not how it was constructed to use from a building perspective.  I assume that I'm supposed to see on the Slider what I see on the website, in exact proportions.  Am I wrong with that?

Thank you for the feedback. We will look into this to see if we can find anything else.

We've managed to solve this for you. The problem was that you've used our demo slider as a base, and it has many custom/specific solutions. We've removed the loop / middle transition and used opening transition only instead.
