Got word back from the dev team. It seems like the problem is that the video's file size is too big, and your server is too slow to handle it. Basically, the server can't load it real-time, while the video is playing, that is why it 'lags'. We'd recommend to adjust the video, for example use smaller resolution or a different bitrate.
The world video in the background gets choppy half way through. Viewing it on Chrome

You have to view it on the desktop. Mobile displays a different slider.
