    Hello ginger,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Judging from the error message, the plugin might have became corrupted somehow.

I'd recommend to remove it completely (and any other older copy if there was a bundled version with a theme) and manually reinstall the plugin by downloading the newest release from CodeCanyon. Your sliders and settings are stored in the database so they won't be deleted in the process.

You can also find installation instructions in the documentation: https://support.kreaturamedia.com/docs/layersliderwp/documentation.html#plugin-setup

    Hi Attila,

Thanks for your reply. I've tried and it didn't work. After reinstallation, I've been directed straightaway to a page with error message: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page. the page URL is like this https://www.florenda.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=layerslider-options§ion=about. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks,

    Ginger

    Hello again,

Unfortunately the dev team couldn't troubleshoot this problem on the front-end. We will need admin access to investigate it further. Could you please set up a temporary WP login for us ? Make sure to set the message to private so others can't see it. Thank you.

Thank you. Unfortunately we couldn't access the back-end. The login credentials you provided work on the first verification, which is the WP login. But after that there is a second one, where these credentials are not accepted (please see screenshot). Could you please let us know how we should proceed, or what additional login we need to use ?

Thank you. But unfortunately we're still not able to login. When we enter these credentials we receive the following error: 错误:Cookies被阻止或者您的浏览器不支持。要使用WordPress,您必须启用cookies。

I'm not sure what cookies are disabled, I'm able to login to other WP sites.  I've tried it with different browsers, turned off extensions, but that did not help either.

Do we need to do something else to be able to login ?

This login works, thanks. I've logged off for now. I'll let the dev team take a look at this error, and I'll get back to you with their results.

Got word back from the dev team. They've investigated this error, and they believe that the user is limited, it does not have access to a lot of things (including certain plugins). That is why the permission error occurs when you try to open LayerSlider. Could you please check on your user/profile again to see if it has the right permissions and access ?

If it does have every access it needs, and the error still occurs, then there is most likely a 3rd party plugin that interferes badly with permissions, causing this issue. To troubleshoot this, please try to temporary disable other plugins and switch to a default WP theme to see if that solves the issue.

    Hi Attila,

Thank you so much for your help. Unfortunately, I tried both ways, none of them worked. BTW, I am the admin, I can access to other plugins, but layerslider. Are there any other ways I could do? Thank you very much.

    Kind Regards,

    Ginger

Thank you for the feedback. That is very strange. There is no such issue in LayerSlider, so some 3rd party plugin or method must be causing this interference. I'll let the dev team look into this further to see if they can come up with anything else.

The dev team still sees that this profile is limited. It does not have permission to access LayerSlider's admin interface, that is why the error appears. If it was a normal admin profile, this wouldn't happen. But this profile is limited, the settings, tools and other admin permission related WP menus are missing from the WP sidebar.

Furthermore, they've also tried to access LayerSlider manually by entering the proper URL (http://www.florenda.org/wp-admin/admin.php?page=layerslider), but that did not work either: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

Are you using this profile as well ? Or do you have a different one ? Because this one is surely limited in certain ways.
