I just converted from another paid popular slider to Layer Slider, and I'm very impressed!
I'm having an issue with a post slide. I have two text layers, one contains the [title] tag, the other the [excerpt] tag. They both display the content in the preview, but on the front end, the title is showing up, but the excerpt isn't.

Sorry for the delayed response, I've just got word back from the dev team. They've tried to reproduce this problem, but weren't able to. This error never occured throughout their testings.
Please try to troubleshoot and look for any incompatibility, by temporary disabling other plugins and switching to a default WP theme to see if that solves the issue.
Please also empty the cache (from any cache plugin or solution you might have on your installation).
To pull the excerpt we are using the native WP functions, so it should be working. But it's possible that WP does not generate excerpt for every post type, furthermore 3rd party items could also affect this.
In the meantime as a workaround, you could also use the [content] post placeholder and set a limit on it, how many should show.
