I have a saving problem with LayerSlider. When I try to save a slide after adding some content, it pops up this message:
"It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from saving your work. Please check LayerSlider -> Settings -> System Status for potential errors, try to temporarily disable themes/plugins to rule out incompatibility issues or contact your hosting provider to resolve server configuration problems. Your HTTP server thrown the following error: \n\n Not Found"
In System Status seems to have a problem with PHP Post Max Size being too small ( 8M ). I contacted with my host provider and raise it to 32M but still the PHP Post Max Size in System Status values it at 8M for some reason.
I also tried with deactivating all the plugins and activate back the basic theme but it didn't work.
I don't know what else I can do. I hope you can help me.
Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.
Unfortunately this is most likely a server configuration problem that is preventing the saving. Please set up a temporary WP login for us, so we can look around in the back-end to see if we can locate the exact issue or at least recommend the necessary changes to your host.
Thank you, but unfortunately I'm not able to login with these credentials. When I enter the username and password, the login window just reappears empty, saying verification is needed. Is there anything else I need to do in order to be able to access your admin ?
We've logged in and looked into this further, but couldn't reproduce the saving problem. Could you please specify which slider is generating this error or how exactly can we trigger it ?
The PHP Max Post Size only matters for the import and file upload, it shouldn't cause saving errors. Also, 8M should be good enough, but in case it did not change in the System Status, something must have went wrong on the host's part.
Furthermore, this saving error is most likely a PHP related problem. Please try to look for any PHP errors in the logs that could provide more information. Or in case you do not have the tools to do it, ask your host to investigate this error and the PHP logs. They should be able to locate the source of the issue, and they also have the required tools to change the necessary server settings to adjust this.
It seems like there is a PHP error during the saving process. That is when the admin-ajax.php file (used by WP to handle AJAX requests) throws a 404 Not Found error.
Unfortunately you did not attach the PHP error logs, those are the ones that should be checked. You should be able to check the log files in the dashboard provided by the host. Or in case you do not have such access, your host can also help you with this.
