I installed and activated the updated plugin with no issues and then searched the site for bugs. Every page I have had a layerslider on now "overlaps" my sites menus when you hover over them making navigation impossible. Some additional links to see what I mean. Thanks in advance!

You will need to set a higher z-index value for your menu than the slider to solve this. You can set the z-index for the slider in the Slider Settings -> Appearance -> Custom Slider CSS field by entering z-index:1; or you could use an even lower number if 1 still does not make it.
Thanks for the quick reply, I truly appreciate that!
Per your instructions I made the changes in the custom css under the slider's settings/appearance/custom css but no changes occurred. I made sure to clear my cache and even updated the page it lives on. Still no luck.
Lowest number I went with was .01
I assume that this may be a conflict with the theme.
You can also use negative values for the z-index, could you please try to enter -1 or even -999 just to test it further ? If this does not help either, we will look into if there's a possible conflict with your theme.
