Limited availability during the holidays

Another busy year is coming to its end, and an exciting year lies ahead. In order to get ready for a fresh new start, our team will spend a few days' rest during the winter holidays. Over the holiday break, we will have reduced staffing from December 20th, 2025, to January 4th, 2026, so please be patient if you do not receive a response as quickly as you normally would.

We send our warmest wishes for happiness, health, and success throughout the coming year. Thank you for your continued support, and may you have a peaceful and blessed Happy Holidays!

My opening slide contains text and an mp4 video of fireworks.  On desktop, it plays properly and the text and video play as intended.  On my Samsung Galaxy S5, the mp4 never plays, and the slideshow appears to pause and not play at all.  It looks like my settings have it set to play on mobile, so not sure what is happening.

I've been testing this on my same mobile device successfully, up until adding this video - then it stopped working on mobile.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Garry

    Hello Garry,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. My name is Attila and I'm happy to assist you today. I appreciate your patience while we've been working towards your ticket.

Unfortunately the video displays are quite limited on mobile browsers. Due to certain mobile browser restrictions, the autoplay will not work so your videos won't start automatically. Even if you start the video manually by clicking it, it will be opened in a popup iframe window so it will not provide the same effect as it does on desktop.

Ok, thanks for the fast reply.

Is it because I opted to host the video directly?  Would it work if I embed via YouTube?

The problem is not related to the source of the video, so it doesn't really matter if its self hosted, YouTube or Vimeo. The restrictions (that are limiting the video displays) are built into the mobile browsers on purpose by the developers, so unfortunately there is no real way to bypass this behavior from our end.
